About Us
Quality, Function and Design
When I bought my first home (and soon after puppy!) I realized how hard it was to find home decor that fit my style and was the quality I was looking for. I went to college for Textile and Apparel Design and shortly after graduating, I got married and bought a house.
I started sewing custom home decor (curtains, pillow covers, etc.). We got a Teacup Yorkie (my inspiration for WrenBirdLane) and soon had a baby boy and named him Wren (the inspiration for the shop name). I was still struggling to find pet items that fit my style, so why not make them?
I sewed for myself, and soon for others. When I decided to start selling the dog bed covers, I tested each size with pillow forms. I wanted the dog beds to be easy to wash and easy to stuff. An envelope closure on the bottom means that there are no zippers or buttons for dogs to destroy.
As time went on, I upgraded my equipment to industrial machines and added personalization to the dog bed covers. Screen printed or heat transfer vinyl are the options for having a name on the beds. What is the difference you ask? Well, screen printing is done by hand and can have small imperfections. HTV is cut with a machine and applied with high amounts of heat and pressure. Both options are permanent. I am constantly adding new fabrics.
I absolutely LOVE what I do!
Thank you for supporting a small business in these times of uncertainty. Stay safe.
